Demobats are fictionall flying predatory creatures originating from the Upside Down from the Netflix science fiction horror series Stranger Things. They are part of the hive mind controlled by Vecna, and are seemingly related to Demogorgons. The Demobats have a bat-like appearance, and are eyeless with a gaping toothy maw, similar to the Demogorgons. They have a vine-like tail which can be used to strangle their prey. Demobats are connected to the Upside Down’s hive mind, and act as Vecna’s spies throughout the dimension. They are ideal spies, as they are small and can go easily unnoticed when immobile; furthermore, Demobats can fly, unlike any other member of the hive mind. Demobats have black blood, just like their humanoid counterparts.

Stranger Things is an American science fiction television series. Set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s, the first season focuses on the investigation into the disappearance of a young boy amid supernatural events occurring around the town including the appearance of a psychokinetic girl who helps the missing boy's friends in their own search.
