Princess Jasmine is a fictional character who appears in animated feature film Aladdin. Jasmine is the spirited daughter of the Sultan and Princess of Agrabah, who has grown weary of her life of palace confinement. Despite an age-old law stipulating that the princess must marry a prince in time for her upcoming birthday, Jasmine is instead determined to marry someone she loves for who he is as opposed to what he owns.

Aladdin is a 1992 American animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is based on the Arabic folktale of the same name from the One Thousand and One Nights. The film follows the titular Aladdin, an Arabian street urchin, who finds a magic lamp containing a genie.
