Who is Judge Doom?

Judge Doom is the main antagonist in the movie *Who Framed Roger Rabbit*. He is portrayed by Christopher Lloyd and serves as the sinister and authoritative judge who oversees Toontown, the fictional place where both cartoons and humans coexist.

At first, Doom appears to be a human, but his true identity is revealed later in the film—he is actually a Toon disguised as a human. His goal is to destroy Toontown and replace it with a freeway system for profit. Doom is particularly terrifying because he uses a substance called "Dip" (a mix of chemicals) that can permanently erase Toons, making him feared by all cartoon characters.

In a climactic scene, it's revealed that Doom is the very Toon responsible for killing Eddie Valiant’s brother. He exposes his true form, with cartoonish bulging eyes, a high-pitched voice, and other exaggerated Toon traits. Judge Doom’s menacing presence, combined with his secret identity, makes him one of the most memorable and frightening villains in animation history.
